Short description | In the early 19th century, around 1825, Dutch settlers started growing tea plants on the Indonesian island of Java. From there, tea cultivation was also transferred to Sumatra. This leaf tea comes from the best plucking period in Java, between August and September. A beautiful, dark to slightly red leaf makes a shining copper colour in the cup and a strong, fruity and aromatic taste, which is also reflected in the bouquet. |
